On this Thankgiving, I am reminded that I have so much to be thankful for especially my family. I am also grateful for the steady work I have had over the last several months and am thankful that I can use creativity in my work. This month has been a busy time, painting many bowls for stores. I am also working on ornaments and paintings of the star barn to be finished before Christmas.

I am currently finishing up a painting between filling store orders titled, "Star Barn: Winds of Change" and hope to list it on ebay this week. It features the popular Star Barn on a windy autumn night and symbolizes the change that will take place when the Star Barn is moved from it's current location.

October 15, 2008

Each October brings many Christmas orders to be filled for the museum stores and gift shops I supply. I have finished my last donation for the year, titled "Moonlit Meadow", to be auctioned off at the Gap Family Center for the Annual Local Library Auction to be held this Friday 10/17. After orders are completed, I hope to offer several new works on ebay before the end of the year.

After burning the midnight oil last night, I finished a new piece combining painting and textiles (penny rug embroidery) with 100% wool and 100% wool felt painted and stitched on canvas. This new piece is now available on ebay. (Click on the picture to see the detail.)
