A New Fundraising Print
In the last two weeks, I have been busy painting and planning a new fundraiser print. Last year's fundraising print "Hannah's Wish" has raised over $11,000 for charity and helped to support Hospice, Landis Homes, The Brethren Disaster Relief, Help the Fight, Race for Life, other cancer charities and private school auctions to name a few. This year's new snowman print, "First Responder" is the second in the series in memory of Hannah Garman. The new snowman print is $40. I will donate all profits from the print to help support fire companies and charities.
In order to sponsor the printing costs of this fundraiser, I am selling one of my most recent original paintings titled "October Moon" which is a 16" x 12" acrylic done on professional grade canvas. You may contact me via email at marycharlesart@peoplepc.com if you are interested in "First Responder" prints.

With the official onset of autumn right around the corner, my thoughts are turned to the wonderful scent of baked pumpkin pie and the familiar sound of leaves crunching underfoot. Yesterday, I spent the afternoon discarding the spent summer flowers, planting new mums and placing pumpkins near the front walkway. I also replaced the summer decor in my new deep kitchen windowsills with small mum plants and miniature pumpkins. I worked late into the evening, finishing my first fall painting of the season titled, "Pumpkin Time." I will be listing this piece on ebay as a buy-it-now in the very near future.

9/10/10 Help the Fight

Hannah's Wish giclee print, in memory of Hannah Garman, went well at the Hospice Auction last week raising $900 this year. The Garman family and I will also offer this signed and numbered giclee this weekend at Help the Fight breast cancer fund raiser http://helpthefight.org/ to be held 9/11 at the Clipper Stadium from 9 AM - 2 PM. They will also sell my original acrylic, "After the Rain." All proceeds from both art pieces will support local breast cancer patients. "Hannah's Wish" and "After the Rain" are to be sold during their live auction at 1 PM. Many fun family activities and great food and baked items will be available at the event, so please come out and support this wonderful event.

The summer has slipped away quickly. Our kitchen remodel and house updates are finished and our daughter has gone back to school last week. Fall store orders for bowls and paintings are coming in and keeping me busy. I wanted to get back on ebay for some time, so I've squeezed in a few paintings between orders and have them listed under "starlitestudios" this week. I am running two specials for $1.00 starting price on barn paintings, so be sure to check them out for a great deal. I also have two new paintings featuring Star Barn bird houses at Basket Accessories in Intercourse, PA.
This week I'm finishing up a wedding gift and a painting for "Help The Fight" cancer fund-raising event and auction to be held at Lancaster's Clipper Stadium on Sept. 11. This past Thursday the local Newspaper listed a picture of a print from my painting, "Hannah's Wish" that will be auctioned off at the Hospice Auction on Labor Day in memory of Hannah Garman.
