Peek-A-Boo Moon

I was inspired to do a new painting recently and I finished it in time for my daughter's first day back at school.  I had time to reflect today on how fast she has grown over the years.  I remember when I used to play peek-a-boo with her when she was only a few months old and now she is mature enough to drive and is starting the 11th grade.

We only have a few years to bring our children up in the Lord and to teach them how to live a life of service to go out and make a difference in the world.  They learn mostly from watching our example and from the things we say to them.  Give your children a hug today and tell them how special they are, because one day they will grow up and start a life of their own.

Autumn Barn Quilts

As you can tell, my favorite season is Autumn.  I love the cooler weather and most of all the changing  leaves that show off God's artistic hand.  Every year around fall, I enjoy breaking out all the colors and creating as many paintings as I can to celebrate this beautiful season.  This original 16x20" acrylic painting titled "Autumn Barn Quilts" is the second in a series of Barn Quilt paintings that is now available at Dutchland Galleries.  I can also paint something similar in larger sizes.  Please feel free to contact me at for more info.

Country Garden

I recently finished a new painting titled "Country Garden."  This 16x20" painting is available at Dutchland Galleries and would pair well with "Summer Moon" (also a 16x20") featured in my last post.  Both are finished with a unique frame made of an inner black wood liner and rich brown outer rustic wood frame.  This framing technique is done by Dutchland Galleries.  Contact them at for more info.

Here is the pair side-by-side.  Both featuring my red barns with one night scene and one day scene.
